FD Calculator
Calculate fixed deposit maturity value using compound interest.
Break-up
How to read this fd calculator
The interest shown is gross modeled interest. Match the compounding choice to the deposit product. A payout deposit, premature withdrawal or tax deduction can produce a different amount from this cumulative projection.
Worked example
₹10,000 at 8% nominal interest compounded quarterly for one year becomes ₹10,824.32, before tax.
Method and assumptions
For c compounds per year and t years, maturity value = principal × (1 + rate/c) raised to c×t, with the rate expressed as a fraction.
The entered nominal annual rate compounds at the selected frequency. A fractional compounding period uses the same exponential convention; actual banks may prorate incomplete quarters differently. The estimate excludes tax, premature-closure penalties and payouts.
